Don't hate the player, hate the game.

But when the player gets dirty, what do you do? Sometimes I wonder, why can't people just learn to live their own lives, why do people get involved and mess other people's lives up. People who give them a chance to make what they made wrong right. IF your life is fucked up, do not do the same to others. There should be a line in all of us that is visible to the outside world. It should be a line you should never cross. We should also carry a book to be read by all whom we meet about who we really are. At least that way, the foolish ones get a chance to know the real person inside, not some concoction made with a little sugar and spice and everything nice.
I strongly disagree with the saying keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Dammit, it should read keep your enemies close but your friends closer, and this is for the good and the bad. Don't we all agree? How many times have you had your feet stepped on by those whom know you best? Doesn't it sting just a little bit more? I say bollocks to all you out there who put yourself ahead. Happy are you when your time comes.
What is done is done. Let it rest. The tussle of conscience is a battle that rages on for a lifetime. It hurts more then a slap on the face, more then a stab in the back and definitely more then a bruised reputation. It will haunt you for all eternity. For trust is a priceless gift shared between two people. When you give your word, when you ask someone to trust you, you are making a deal with the devil. Under no circumstance should you allow your self worth, self pride and self prejudice get the better of you.
Confabulation, now that's a whole different ball game. You confabulate because you never were anything, never was anyone and never had anyone. You burnt the bridges as fast as, if not faster then when you built it. And where does that leave you, with the scaffolding that was there when you were building those bridges? You'd be lucky if it was. Chances are you burnt all the bridges that connected your 'island' with others. Believe you me, their bridges are still there, only problem is, it is not connected to your island. Live on your own, survive on your own if you may. You are a cast away. Forsaken by those who cared for you, who would have stood up for you and would have been by your side through the ups and downs life presents us with. You want to believe there are others out there who would do the same, but all that remains are the charred remains of your burnt bridges. Thread them carefully, one wrong turn could spell the end of your journey. And that would make the world a better place.
You know who you are, for that little creepiness you felt while reading this emphasises you have strayed away from your deal. You become that pariah, that outcast, that loner that can never be again, a leper cast aside and away from sight. It was your decision to make, your price to pay and your burden to carry.
"Forgive sounds good, but forget, I'm not sure I could. They say time heals everything so I'm still waiting. But get one thing right, I'm not ready to make nice, I'm not ready to back down and I'm still mad as hell. It's too late to make it right and I probably wouldn't if I could, cause I'm mad as hell but I can't bring myself to do what it is I think I should."

Wishful thinking

Feb. 22, 2007 (pretty much the story of my life)

- woke up at 7.10 am, showered, brushed teeth ironed a shirt and ran for class.
- got onto the bus by 7.40, passed out for an hour.
-reached Muar at 8.40, bummed around till class started at 10.30.
- stood in the ward, dripping with sweat, in the sweltering heat till 12.00pm
- was told there was no class in the afternoon, travelled back (another hour) had lunch
- nicely tucked in bed by 2.30pm, woke up at 5pm and went to play badminton
- life after this is mostly bumming around doing nothing, sleeping, TV, computer, studying and passing out by 1 - 2 am.
Tomorrow the cycle will continue, pretty much in the same way. I honestly feel I waste more then half the day doing nothing. Is it because I am lazy or is there a defect in the system?
I would like to think it is the latter.
Hopefully one day it will change, the system, made better by those like me who go through it day in and day out for 5 odd years. It is time for the powers that be in this field to structure the system for the modern student. There are too many distractions present today then there was merely 5 years ago.
The course must work the student, not the student working the course. But will that ever be a reality? I highly doubt it. It is a dog eat dog world out there, and only the fittest will survive.
We have to work the course. This is MMMC.

If only...

I wonder why people act the way they do. That was a statement not a question. Its always the matter of assumption. They assume so they think it so. Imbeciles...
The people I know can be so fake, it makes Chow Kit look like Star Hill. I tell you, one minute they are superfine and within the blink of an eye, they are like Haji Taib hores.. ha ha.. (you gotta laugh at that one!)
If only they stop assuming and start asking to be sure. Its so easy for them to think you want to do something else instead of hang with them. And they are supposed to be your friends.
I'm angry, I'm disappointed, I'm baffled. But I expected it.
THEY show who they are and where they are from, just by the way they act and talk. I wonder if they will do justice to their profession tomorrow when they come out as white collar professionals, or will their origins get the better of them. As the saying goes, you can take the nigger out of the ghetto, but you can never take the ghetto out of the nigger. (this was not meant as a racist remark)
Moral of the story: NEVER assume, always ASK.
However, you can only bring the horse to the water, no way you can make it drink the water. Therefore I think I'm gonna start living by that 90/10 rule, (thanks mesh). 90% of things are in your control and you can decide the outcome based on your actions and reactions. Only 10% is out of your control, like natural disasters for example. Hence, if only we all lived by that 90/10 way. The world would be a better place, for people who are sane. For those nut jobs out there, ain't nothing gonna change a damn thing. :P Remember, I'm angry, disappointed and baffled.
My true friends out there, you know who you are, let this pass, it wasn't meant for you. But those who fit this criteria, who felt like the story hit a little spot, do something about it, make the world a better place, we all want Better Days...

Would you be my Valentine?

Happy Valentine's Day to all those reading this. And if you're single and ready to mingle, Happy Single's Awareness Day! Damm.. Feb 14th used to be a day for all these florists and card makers to make a quick buck and con those love struck couples out of their money, now they've gone and made it a single's awareness day too. Soon there'll be cards out there wishing you a partner next Valentine's. Haha! You guys ain't leaving no one out eh!?
Anyways, was just sitting around doin nothing (after watching 'Scarface' which mind you is a totally awesome movie, wish I saw it earlier!) when I started thinking about this Mr. Valentine. So I 'googled' it only to see numerous different stories about 'St. Valentine.' Oh yea, he's a saint by the way, martyred by the Catholic Church. If its the same guy here that we are talking about I really don't know.
All I do know is that Hallmark and Memory Lane are making a bucket load of cash over this period. It seems that the number of cards sent on Valentine's is second only to Christmas (info courtesy of the ever reliable wikepedia!). Wonder how come St. Michael or St. Peter's day don't have this many cards, if any, going around. I mean, one is the defender of satan, a powerful archangel and the other one stands at the gates of heaven, deciding who gets in and not, but its Mr. Valentine that gets all the attention... Well I guess love conquers all.
So yea, now I'm sittin here thinkin what to do tonight. Thank god I'm going out with a princess who is not as sappy as those hopeless romantics out there and just enjoys the thought of spending the day with me. If only you all were so lucky huh! But still, that weight of expectancy is there, sometimes you just wanna do something different and today is that excuse. So go out and spend some extra 'moolah' on your loved ones cos hey, a little spice in the relationship could never hurt!
p.s. for those of you who wanna know more about this 'Valentines's Day' con you should click here, such a romantic story for a romantic occasion!
Anyways, to all my readers in relationships, Happy Valentine's, and you single folks, Happy Single's Awareness Day. (maybe next year eh!)

You gotta be kiddin me!

Males allowed to view female athletes who are decently clad: Perlis Mufti

Was just trying to catch up with the news after a long day at class, when I came across this article on the Star. I didn't know if I should cry or laugh. I honestly feel this is one of the major reasons why a Muslim country can never be as great as our Western countries.

Don't get me wrong, we are trying very hard to get there and if recent developments are anything to go by, you know, buying of our very own 'Air Force One' and all, I'd say a couple more years (God, I can be sooo sarcastic at times), we'd be there. But such atrocities can only throw us back light years!

Imagine one day, if we host the Olympics or the Women's World Cup, what then?!?! If females are taking part, only female supporters are to be allowed? Common you guys, grow up, looking at a human being taking part in sports is really not gonna 'arouse' us okay. It just goes to show the mentality of certain people leading this country. First one 'dunggu' yells about waving a keris and threatening to use the keris, and now another 'kuku' fella says watching female athletes is gonna arouse us. We can sooo forget about having the Woman's ATP here, imagine Sharapova in those mini skirts yelling ooh and aah, goodness, those men in Kota Baru might just wet themselves.

Its times like this a dominant leader must come out and speak for a multinational country. He or she must show that we are a race and a society where we are mature enough to know how to behave. Speaking and acting like this screams out the fact that we are hormone charged individuals, still in the stone age unable to act like mature, modern humans of the 21st century. Where is that leader, is there one for us? I guess Dr. M, you are sorely being missed in times like this, and your 'dilemma' that once sparked so much controversy still is very much a dilemma.

God's grace be upon our beloved motherland. In times like this, we really need all we can get.

Not Bad Eh?

How about this for entertainment, aren't we humans just amazing? I think we're simply awesome...

Speed limited..

Ever wonder why the government makes 3 lane highways, allows us to drive the Volvo's, BMW's and Porsche's but keeps the speed limit to a meagre 110km/hr?
I can only wonder. Was just thinking about it because I got 2 speeding tickets sent home recently. I was driving at 140 and 130ish... I mean if the car can take, the road can hold it and the driver can do it, what in God's name is holding them back from allowing us the speed? Set la the speed limit to 140.. hehehe.... Pushing it la I know, but I mean common, much safer cars these days.
But I guess they are thinking about our pride and joy, our country's national car. The bloody tin can would probably disintegrate at 120km/hr! Oh hell, the company is going bankrupt already, so shut the whole thing down and take away those stupid taxes so we can get something worth our money. Speed limited no more!!

Glory Glory Man Utd!

AAH.. what a game, might have started of poorly but United showed their value for being champions this season with an emphatic victory. It made staying up late for the game worthwhile. Goals from Ronaldo, Vidic, Scholes and Giggs ensured that the Red Devils kept their 6 point lead over Chelsea.

Final score, Spurs 0, Manchester United 4...

Glory Glory Man. United!!! Looking good to be champions for the season... (fingers crossed), hope I didn't jinx them!

Shoot Out at Subang Parade

! VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED !

WTF!! Seriously... Officially concluded now that there is no place safe. If a little place like Subang could be filled with such sinister acts, one can only be worried. I mean, this mall is like the only place parents wouldn't worry if their kids were hanging out at, but just look at what happened last night. Its just so sad I tell you. No where is safe anymore. Pics shown below are taken from http://www.kimhooi.blogspot.com/ :

-one of the shot guards, fainted -
-dead robber, with gun and empty shells-
- security guard shot in the head-
I hope I have not offended the viewers by placing such pictures on this blog. Just to show you all how real this is. It is really unbelievable. I cannot imagine such a thing actually taking place. Imagine if I was there. God bless those dead.
The Star newspaper reported that police have managed to arrest the people involved in this. It seems the tip was from a hotel key card in the dead robbers jacket. They were arrested at a 5 star hotel.

Bored

Its a sunny Sunday. Haih.. But it's never a relaxing one these days. Everyday, wake up telling myself today is a good day to start studying but it just never seems to happen.
Well, I better start sooner rather then later, got a practical exam this Tuesday. And look at what I'm doing... I'm so lazy and bored that I actually found a picture (given by a cousin of course :P) on 'tetris graffiti' haha!
Looks like there are people out there who are worse off then I am.. yay!
Well I better get to that studying... Tuesday is too near for comfort. Well at least there is the United game to look forward too...

MONUmental

Been about 2 days since my last post. Just gotten over the hangover from the Reshmonu concert/album launch. For a Malaysian artist, I must say this man has set the bar high for all those up and coming artistes. Of course it wasn't as incredible as the last concert i went for, PCD (yes yes, the pussycat dolls, couldn't help it, nicole is just too hot! haha..) but for a local artist, he's just set the standard pretty high. He's good entertainment, and fun to watch. Probably he needs a couple more hits to got with 'Hey Waley' and 'Superfine.' Aside for the funky hairdo and awkward costume, it was fun, with Kieran and Arvinder in the band for 'Hey Waley' it was nice to watch.
The only drawback to the whole thing was the fact that I went for it only because I won the hitzFM VIP invites, and the manner in which I was treated by the crew was disgraceful to put it nicely. The hitzFM crew can be quite the cocky buggers I tell you. Anyways, I'm not gonna let that spoil what otherwise was a fun night. And after such a greulling 2 hour show and hanging around for the after party, Reshmonu was more than ready to allow us a couple of minutes to snap a few pics with him. Very friendly of him, unlike the hitzFM buggers.
All in all, well done to him, for a good performance. I guess in addition to the free concert, the free flow of food and drinks while waiting for him to get going added to the excitement. Well done Reshmonu, it was a monumental performance, and you are truly a superfine gentleman. All the best for your album and hoping to hear more from it soon. Now if only if we could get the album for free as well... haih.. Malaysians...
